FCS Fusion Plugs

This is the FCS Fusion Plug – or box.  The rail box has a 5° (degree) offset (grey surround) , or a 9° offset (orange surround) . The centre box has 0° degrees offset (obviously).  Recommended for Epoxy/EPS systems, although its equally compatible with PU foam. Set with Resin Research Epoxy Resin 2000CE/2100F for best results. A full Thruster setup requires two rails and a centre plug.  Seabase recommends and uses this FCS Fusion system for its universal application, strength and ease of use. More below…

FCS notes:  Fusion was developed primarily for EPS/Epoxy surfboards; however the system can be just as easily applied to PU/Poly construction surfboards. Our goal in designing Fusion was to offer significant improvements and advantages over other pre-glass systems currently on the market. Fusion is claimed to be the strongest pre-glass system on the market.

  • • Precision moulded polymer plug with high density foam insert
  • • EPS/Epoxy and PU/Polyester compatible
  • • Strongest and lightest pre-glass system on the market
  • • Shorter footprint than other pre-glass systems
  • • Does not compromise rocker and tail flex
  • • Less base flex = increased performance
  • • Minimises weight while maintaining the board’s natural balance
  • • Elongated slots offer forward & aft movement
  • • Shapers dots remain visible
  • • Fits most bottom contours

We recommend using this little toy, a fin angle finder, to get the finest degree offset for your fins, allowing for concaves or v-bottoms and for performance accuracy.
