The toolbox of the blue room is full of the shaper’s selection of his precious weapons of work. We stock a large selection from lay-out squares to the smallest brass stringer planes – the modifed Hitachi Planer from US Blanks with its up-rated bearings and ground plate, the fine brass spoke-shave in several iterations with carbon steel blades that can be honed to razor-sharpness , the famous multi-functional David Planer that uses honed steel blades for stringer work. The new Seabase layout square has been designed by our own shapers for accurate measuring of blanks, and placement of fin and box marks. We stock a full range of various grit shaping gauze, and a range of quality, proven wet-and-dry and production papers that don’t de-grit in use.
