Polishing

Fibreglass is often polished for various reasons. Seabase stocks various sanding pads, materials, compounds and polishing pads of varying densities to aid these processes.Add Wax in Styrene solution to aid sanding, or to resins in a higher concentration to produce highly polished surfaces when the wax (usually Carnuba Wax which is found in apples, for example) is added to Styrene to act as a surfacing agent. When the resin is cured, the wax on the surface can be sanded and polished. We sell a complete range of wet and dry and production sandpapers in various grits from 40 to 2000, for the sanding process, and several polishing compounds that complete the polishing process, after sanding with the range of decreasing grit sandpaper.
